Greenbush Rail Line
Getting to and from Boston from the South Shore and its coastal towns south of Boston is now much easier!
Commuter rail service is restored to the Greenbush corridor through the towns of Braintree, Weymouth, Hingham, Cohasset, and Scituate, Massachusetts.
Seven new commuter rail stations will be constructed along the right-of-way, each with an 800-foot long high-level platform. New commuter parking lots at the stations ranging in size from 200 to 1000 spaces each will provide a total of approximately 3000 spaces along the corridor.
Hingham Commuter Boat
Convenient, frequent commuter boats are available direct to Boston. The service departs from Hingham Shipyard and lands at Rowes Wharf, Boston, an easy walk to downtown Boston. Why drive?
